Good work done by Special Investigation Team


The following cases have been worked out by SIT during the year 2015.

On 24/03/2015 @ 1450 hrs a written FIR was received from Shri Ganga Ram Dorjee, H/C, VIP Security Cell, Itanagar to the effect that on 22/3/2015 at around 8 am his son Dilip Thattal went to RGU Doimukh on his motorcycle No. AR02-0696 to attend some programme and did not return whole night. On the very next day he came to know that the dead body of his son Dilip Thattal was recovered under mysterious condition from the Sopo River, Doimukh. Accordingly, a case vide Doimukh PS Case No. 12/2015, U/S – 302 IPC was registered, which was initially registered as Unnatural Death case. The case was transferred to SIT, given the public hue & cry. The case was worked out by arresting three involved persons and charge-sheeted within the stipulated time against all accused under the charge of murder. The case was otherwise believed to be an unnatural death case.

On 15thApril’2014 an FIR was submitted to OC PS Doimukh by Dr. Rachob Taba, Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi University, Rono Hills, Doimukh regarding threatening message received by Prof Tamo Mibang (VC) on his mobile No. 9436633920 from mobile No. 8974708420 on 14/04/2014. Accordingly registered a case vide Doimukh PS No. 18/2014 U/S 66(A), IT Amendment Act, 2008.

The case was later transferred to SIT and the derogatory & threatening message sender through fake sim card by unknown person was identified and arrested. The case was charge-sheeted.
